Recently something became clear to me that I often see in the people I guide: your energy is not a constant flow. It’s a balance. An inner scale.
Maybe you recognize it.
You feel tired, overstimulated more quickly, or your body gives signals that you cannot properly place. You try to continue, but something isn’t right.
What often happens is this: your energy is leaking… without you even realizing it.
The invisible energy leaks
On one side of your inner scale are the things that cost energy.
These are not just busy days or poor sleep.
They are often old patterns and beliefs.
For example:
the feeling that you always have to be “on”.
putting yourself away for others
the belief that you have to do something to get love or appreciation
These types of patterns unknowingly keep your body in a state of chronic stress.
Your nervous system remains alert. Your breathing becomes more shallow. Your body becomes exhausted.
Maybe somewhere you know that these patterns are old.
But still… they get triggered. And you feel that.
A little “ouch” inside.
What gives you energy?
Fortunately, there is also another side of the scale.
The side that feeds.
That brings your energy back.
This is different for everyone, but it often comes down to simple, pure things:
nature, peace and space
conscious breathing
real connection
creativity and expression
moments of silence
do something that is right for you
These are not luxury extras.
These are essential sources of recovery.
Why your energy often automatically goes to ‘minus’
What many people don’t know:
if you do nothing, your energy automatically tilts to the negative side.
Not because there is something wrong with you.
But because the unconscious takes the lead.
Old patterns continue to rotate in the background.
Your body gets stuck in a stress response.
And before you know it, you are stuck in fatigue, tension or restlessness.
The key: what do you give your attention to?
What really makes a difference is not trying harder.
It is becoming aware.
Where do you lose energy?
What triggers your stress?
And perhaps even more importantly: what gives you energy?
When you shift your attention to what nourishes, something special happens.
Your energy starts to rise.
Your breath deepens.
Your body relaxes.
You will have space again.
And from that place it suddenly becomes easier to make choices that are good for you.
Small moments, big impact
What gives energy does not have to be grand or complicated.
It can be in:
take a moment to breathe consciously
drinking a cup of coffee without distractions
being outside and observing nature
take a moment of silence
It’s those little moments that help your nervous system to recover.
What about your energy?
Take a moment to think about yourself:
Where is your energy leaking right now?
What exactly gives you energy?
And how often do you really give space to that?
If you find yourself feeling stuck, tired or tense, know:
you don’t have to stay in here.
